iPad with 3G

On Friday April 30, I visited the local Best Buy store at Century Market in Oro Valley to buy one of the five iPads with 3G available. I got the one with the largest memory - 64 Gigs. Linda and I had each used an iTouch for five months so we were familiar with the touch system. The iPad works the same way as the iTouch but with it you can do and a lot more. The screen is 9.7 inches in diameter.

These units gain functionality with small programs called apps that you buy or get for free as needed. They all download in about 30 seconds. Our iTouch's were connected to the Internet by WiFi. The iPad 3G can connect through WiFi or over the AT&T cellular network. So you can be connected anywhere you can make an AT&T phone call.

My goal is to replace all the things I normally did on my laptop with the iPad. Learning how to journal with it was one of my first tasks. Hence this journal entry.

We'll see how it goes.

First off, it has to be able to get my pictures posted to the journal.
